General conditions of sale and public tariffs

The following terms and conditions of sale are applicable from 1 October 2018 for an indefinite period. Nevertheless, the Hotel reserves the right to modify them without notice. Only the conditions in force at the time of the client's actual stay are contractual and form an integral part of the sales contract. Any guest wishing to stay at the Hotel shall be subject to the said conditions and shall be bound by them without reservation.

Reservation:

A credit card number is required to confirm any reservation. A pre-authorisation will be made on your card before your arrival. If the credit card centre refuses to authorise your card, or if your card is invalid, the hotel reserves the right to cancel your reservation without notice.

Please note that the credit card used for the booking must be the same as the person staying in the hotel.

You will need to present the credit card used to guarantee the reservation or to make the prepayment, as well as the identification of the cardholder.

All bookings are only definite after receiving written confirmation from our booking department.

Long-term bookings (6 nights or more) may be subject to a deposit of the amount of the first 2 nights' stay. The deposit is non-refundable if the client does not respect the cancellation conditions.

Hotel Jardin de Cluny reserves the right to apply special cancellation conditions in the case of a reservation exceeding 4 rooms.

Cancellation

Any cancellation of a short stay reservation (1 to 5 nights) must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the stay, i.e. the day before the arrival date before noon, to avoid any penalty. After this time or in case of no-show, the amount corresponding to the first night of the stay will be invoiced and debited from your credit card.

Any cancellation of a long-term reservation (6 nights or more) must be made at least 7 days before the end of the stay before noon. After this period or in case of no-show, the deposit collected will not be refunded and will be invoiced as a penalty.

In case of early departure, the night following departure will be charged.

Arrival / Departure :

Rooms are made available to guests from 3 p.m. (on the day of arrival).

Rooms must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure.

Any occupancy exceeding these time slots may result in the invoicing of an additional night. Guests occupying the rooms must, in all circumstances, behave in a manner compatible with the rules of politeness, respect, decency and in a general way allowing the preservation of the peace of all. Rooms may be checked before check-out. In the event of damage, penalties to be paid in cash to cover the cost of cleaning or replacement will be charged to the guest at check-out.

Billing / Rates / Payment :

Rates vary depending on the time and day of booking.

Payment for the stay can be requested at check-in.

Stays longer than one week or invoices exceeding €1,000 may be subject to weekly or advance billing.

The hotel accepts payments in cash in French currency (Euro), credit cards (Visa/ Mastercard/JCB/Diners/American Express).

The hotel does not accept payment by cheque.

All our prices include VAT, are net of any commission and are expressed in euros only.

They are calculated according to the VAT rates in force at the date of the offer and are therefore subject to adjustment without notice in the event of any change in VAT.

The tourist tax, collected on behalf of the municipalities, is not included in our rates. It is charged per person, per night, from the age of 18.

Only the services explicitly mentioned in the booking confirmation are guaranteed.

The Management reserves the right to refuse accommodation to persons not listed on the booking confirmation.

If the number of persons occupying the room(s) does not conform to the number of persons booked:

1/ The establishment may ask the client to pay additional costs (extra bed, extra room...)

In the event that the client refuses to pay the supplement for the additional person(s) to the original booking, the Management reserves the right to refuse accommodation to persons not included in the booking confirmation.

2/ If the hotel's availability does not allow for additional guests to be accommodated, and the guest wishes to cancel the entire stay, the hotel reserves the right to charge the full amount of the first night's stay for each cancelled room as a penalty.

The management reserves the right to refuse accommodation to persons under the age of majority unless accompanied by an adult. Proof of age may be required on arrival.

The client is reminded, in accordance with article L. 121-21 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, that he/she does not have the right of withdrawal. The Terms and Conditions of Sale of the reserved fare specify the terms and conditions for cancellation and/or modification of the reservation.

Consumer mediation

If the customer fails to receive a satisfactory response within 15 days of contacting the customer service department, the customer may refer the matter to the Tourism and Travel Ombudsman, whose contact details are given below:
